Farook Alathur started his career going deep into community leadership through the Maharashtra Tyre Association, where he held key roles guiding members. Farook Alathur's journey in public life is rooted in a profound and continuous family commitment to service and the principles of the Indian National Congress. Born into a dedicated Congress family in Alathur, his political vision was shaped from a young age by the examples set in his home. His father served the community as a Grama Panchayat member from 1987 to 1992, laying the foundational stone of the family’s tradition in local governance. This legacy continues today through his brother, S A Kabir, who has been elected and served as a Panchayat member an impressive three times, demonstrating a multi-generational commitment to community representation.
Carrying this rich heritage, Farook Alathur established his own path of service and organizational excellence in Maharashtra, building a career defined by dedication across both trade advocacy and political leadership.

A Major Milestone in Political Leadership: Demonstrating the confidence placed in him by the party and the community, his election as the Block President of MBMC Ward No. 13 (2017) was a crucial achievement. This pivotal role confirmed his status as a key local leader within the Mira Bhayandar Municipal Corporation (MBMC) area, empowering him to directly address constituent issues and drive local party organization.
He currently holds the important position of District Congress Secretary (2015), where he applies strategic insight and administrative capability to coordinate party activities across the wider district.
His commitment was recognized early on at the grassroots level, beginning his formal political journey as the Youth Congress Ward President (2004), where he focused on mobilizing young voters and addressing local issues.
Today, his accumulated experience across organizational ranks and local leadership has led to his selection as the party's announced Candidate for the MBMC elections (2026), representing the next step in his mission for legislative representation.
